To provide information about the draws we advertise,  seek your support for raffle participation, respond to your requests, contact you and offer you goods to purchase and administer your participation in draws for prizes, Raffle Results collects personal information at websites including RaffleResults.com.au, via email or other communication, via social media, in person and over the phone.

Funds raised from the raffles we advertise support charitable and not for profit activities in Australia. Banks, mail house and other suppliers receive your information in order to provide services. If you do not provide contact information we are unable to include you in the draws or provide our services. Data we receive is kept securely in an encrypted form in secured, backed up servers.  1. Open and transparent management of personal information 

Raffle Results recognises the importance of your personal information and we follow this Privacy Policy to fulfil our commitment  to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy covers the collection, use, storage, review, correction, and disclosure of your personal information. 

This Privacy Policy is available from our website at www.RaffleResults.com.au or can request a copy by contacting us. See the contact particulars below. 

In this policy “we,” “us” and “them” means the Australian Privacy Principle Entities (APP Entities), Raffle Results and Insight Holdings Consolidated Pty Ltd and “you” means the contact, website user, raffle member, VIP supporter, trade promotion supporter and raffle entrant as the case may be. 

2. APP Entities 

In this website and the Raffle Results business your data is managed by Raffle Results as the controller of the data on behalf of the other APP Entities who will use or process your data as a result of your interest in becoming a supporter or a purchase you may make.  

For all purposes your data is managed by Raffle Results and Insight Holdings Consolidated Pty Ltd in anticipation of you buying entries from both organisations now and in the future. 

When entries are purchased relevant particulars may be provided to the authorised raffle providers or permit holders as the case may be. Our sales and processing work will involve the charity client and may include contracted raffle service providers including Insight Holdings Consolidated Pty Ltd and related companies. 

Neither Raffle Results, Insight Holdings Consolidated nor the charity partner will sell your data to others or lend the data to others outside the charitable fundraising activities without your authorisation or direction. 

3. Identification, Anonymity and Compliance 

As a visitor to our websites you can view most parts without entering any personal information and therefore may remain anonymous during your visit. We do use cookies. Please see below. 

You may register your interest as a guest providing minimal information. You may be required to identify yourself as part of our services. Certain purchase requirements will oblige us to collect more information such as payment and address particulars. 

Information is stored by us in order to produce reports relevant to the raffle activity. These reports are provided to the fundraising beneficiary as part of their record keeping obligations and may be requested by relevant government authorities regulating raffles and charities. 

We require all clients and their representatives to identify themselves accurately when purchasing raffle sales services through the Raffle Results website. Please see our AML/CTP Policy. 

4. Collection of Solicited Personal Information 

We will collect personal information required to provide you with services or for the promotion or marketing of the services, games, charities and products Raffle Results promotes or provides. 

We will only collect information by lawful and fair means and not in an unreasonably intrusive way. We collect personal information in these ways, including: 

a. directly from you, when you provide information by telephone or in application forms; 

b. when you submit your personal details via our websites (e.g. when you make a purchase from the Raffle Results website); 

c. From third parties such as our related service providers, necessary and identified reporting agencies (for example banks, social media sources, corporate or charity identifiers), or information provided by your representatives or member organisations; 

d. from third parties who tell us that they know you and that you may be interested in our raffle games or supporting a charity; 

e. from publicly available sources of contact information such as data brokers; 

f. from the organisations identified below under 'Use or disclosure of personal information'; 

g. from our own records of how you use our services. 

We will not ask for or intentionally collect personal information or opinion information which is related to racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, organisational membership, or sexual activity (sensitive information). We may receive and collect personal opinion information about matters relevant to our work in fundraising such as your fundraising preferences. 

5. Dealing with Unsolicited Personal Information 

We will recognise information provided to us from your friends or associates who tell us you are or should be interested in our work. We will endeavour to contact you on the basis of this information for the purposes defined here.  

Unsolicited personal information is information we did not receive from you. 

If we receive unsolicited personal information and determine that we could not have otherwise collected the personal information, then we will, as soon as practicable but only if it is lawful and reasonable to do so, destroy the information or ensure that the information is de-identified. We may contact you to determine if we are entitled to retain the information. 

6. Notification of the Collection of Personal Information 

The RaffleResults.com.au website and our communication includes prominent links to the Collection Statement and Privacy Policy and to information about how you can decline to receive further contact from us. 

When you decline to make contact we will act on your request and may ask you to remain in contact on a reduced basis. We will notify related processors of any changes. 

7. Use or Disclosure of Information 

We may use your personal information to: 

  • fulfil your decision to buy raffle entries; 

  • organise payment services; 

  • establish your membership of our services; 

  • administer your participation in an ongoing raffle payment service; 

  • verify your identity; 

  • assist you to subscribe to our client services; 

  • provide you with business and related services; 

  • administer and manage those services, including charging, billing and following up on payment; 

  • promote and market our current raffles and the APP Entity’s related raffle services to you; 

  • research and develop our services; and 

  • maintain and develop our business systems and infrastructure, including testing and upgrading of these systems. 

In order to deliver the services you may request; we will disclose your personal information to organisations outside us. Your personal information is disclosed to these organisations only in relation to providing our services to you. These organisations carry out our: 

  • Mailing operations; 

  • Raffle participation; 

  • Billing and payment reminder functions; 

  • Email management services; 

  • Information technology services; 

  • Marketing, telemarketing and door-knocking services; and 

  • Market research. 

We take reasonable steps to ensure that these organisations are bound by confidentiality and privacy obligations in relation to the protection of your personal information. 

In addition, we may disclose your personal information to: 

  • payment service providers; 

  • your authorised representatives or your legal advisers (e.g. when requested by you to do so); 

  • credit providers (for payment card providers); 

  • our related companies such as the staff of employment service entities; 

  • our professional advisers, including our accountants, auditors, and lawyers; and 

  • government and regulatory authorities and other organisations, as required or authorised by law.  

We may provide aggregate statistics about customers, sales, traffic patterns, and related website information to reputable third-party vendors, but these statistics will include no personally identifying information. 

The payment processing method used is determined by the method of purchase; your purchase instruction by payment card may be processed via Stripe Inc, Westpac QuickStream with Raffle Results card payment and charityraffle.com.au web pages and sub-domains for single or multiple charity purchases, via Apple Pay or Google Pay or via D-Debit Pty Ltd. 

8. Direct Marketing of Charity Raffles 

Our purpose is to promote the raffles we promote or manage and you should expect by the style of communication to you, our request or notification that we will seek your support and the presence and availability of our collection statement. 

If we use your personal information for direct marketing purposes, any correspondence sent to you will include clear instructions on how to opt out of receiving any further marketing correspondence. 

You may change or decline to receive further contact from us. 

9. Communication Data 

We use cookies and tracking applications on our website and in emails and text message communication to provide a more convenient and reliable service. For your convenience for example we may use cookies on your device to recognise Raffle Results login information. We want to understand your preferences and provide information and services which reflect your interests. 

Our website uses tracking codes that contain a unique identifier that enable us to recognise when someone has visited our sites or taking an action in relation to our sites. We also facilitate our client charities’ ability to learn more about your interest in their raffle through the use of these tracking codes. In many instances, these technologies are reliant on cookies to function properly. As a result, deactivating cookies via your browser settings will impair their functioning.  

We use analytics and customisation cookies to collect information that is used either in an aggregate form to help us understand how our website is being used or how effective our marketing campaigns are, or to help us customise our website for you.  

While our site contains links to other relevant websites outside our control, we are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such websites.  

We use Google AdWords Remarketing and/or Facebook Remarketing to advertise across the Internet, in particular on the Google Display Network and Facebook Network. AdWords and Facebook remarketing will display ads to you based on what parts of the website you have viewed by placing a cookie on your web browser. 

This cookie does not in any way identify you or give access to your computer or mobile device.

10. Quality of personal information 

We will take reasonable measures to make sure your personal information which we  collect, use or disclose is accurate, complete and up-to date. If you believe that any personal information that we hold about you is  inaccurate, incomplete or out of date, please contact us so we can investigate and make adjustments. 

11. Overseas Processing 

Some of our service providers are located in the United Kingdom, United States (for example: Google Analytics) and the Philippines. We ensure that the service providers which process personal information in any way, only do so according to an agreement which includes standards at least equivalent to or greater than the standards which would apply if that service provider was located in Australia. Such a transfer and disclosure may occur only for new contact acquisition. 

12. Security of Personal Information 

We will take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we holds from misuse and loss and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. we permits only authorised personnel to access your personal information. 

We will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify your personal information if it is no longer needed for any purpose. 

13. Access to personal information 

You have a right to access the personal information that us holds about you. You can access your personal information by contacting us. us may require you to put your request in writing for security reasons. 

We reserve the right to withhold your personal information where we need to retain that record or if there is a legal reason which we will provide to you. 

14. Retention of information 

We do not retain information about you which is no longer required or not in use for our purposes. We dispose of records, files, letters and payment records in a secure manner and require suppliers to delete records from systems as soon as possible after completion of each task. 

 

We must request and will retain information regarding all financial or potential supporters and those transactions for charity regulation, taxation, the conduct of raffles according to state legislation and similar requirements. 

15. Correction or Deletion of Personal Information 

If you notify we that the personal information that we holds about you is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading, we will take such steps (if any) as are reasonable in the circumstances to correct that information to ensure that, having regard to the purpose for which it is held, the information is accurate, up-to-date, complete, relevant and not misleading. 

We may where it is feasible to do so delete parts of records which are no longer needed. To maintain data integrity certain records cannot be deleted. We cannot guarantee that our services or systems will not in the future contact you but endeavour to follow your wishes for as long as is practicable.

If you are dissatisfied about any aspect of our privacy policy in relation to your contact information, please contact us. We are happy to consider all feedback, provide answers and where necessary act on any reasonable or legal request. We may need to identify you for that purpose.
